Thank you for your even-handed comments on the story. ?I share the outrage at the possibility that the federal government could finance an arena for a non-existent Quebec team but not the Oilers, and thought your article is well-written.

I usually don't mind Spector's stuff, but this one is just offensive, portraying the entire province of Quebec in a negative light...and people should realize, if the funding comes through, it's not Quebec that makes that decision, it is the federal Tories...who traditionally have received pretty strong backing from Alberta and with a leader from Calgary. ?
